Fueling the entrepreneurial spirit.
Owning your own business can be exhilarating and rewarding. It can also be a lot work. I get it because I lived it.
For more than twenty years, I have owned a brand strategy and graphic design firm. We help clients claim serious market share in short order with a combination of smart strategy and eye-catching design. We do some amazing work. We won some awards. My mission has always been to "fuel the entrepreneurial spirit." And my other company Pivot Lab does that really, really well. But I wanted to help more people live their dream of owning a business. People that might have fewer resources, less startup capital, less knowledge of business, or any number of adversities. Fueling the entrepreneurial spirit still motivates me. So, the challenge wasn’t what I was doing doing. It was could I help more businesses in more industries? I saw a need and an opportunity to help other like minded business people. I needed an approach that would make life better, easier, and less stressful for small business entrepreneurs that needed a strong presence on the web but couldn't budget for a more extensive brand build out. Websites seemed like part of the equation. Everyone—absolutely everyone—needs a website in this day and age. But creating and maintain one can be complicated, expensive, time-consuming, and daunting. As I was assessing, I spent time reflecting on things that make me happy. Spending time with family and friends makes me really happy. Picnics make me happy. Well the camaraderie that they create makes me happy. Everyone brings something to share, you hang out, you chat, you enjoy each other’s company, and then you go home. What’s not to love? I put these two things together—the ease of a picnic and the need for a website—and Web Piknik was born. I recharged my own entrepreneurial battery with the creation of Web Piknik. It is energizing for me to know that you can easily have a website that will make your business—and your life—better, easier, and less stressful. All my best, Matt Barnhart Founder & CEO Web Piknik |
